Prohibited and
Restricted Items

Prohibited items for transport via courier services:

• Ammunition
• Bank bills, notes or currency (other than coin)
• Corpses, cremated or disinterred remains
• Fireworks
• Hazardous waste
• Ivory
• Marijuana, including marijuana intended for medicinal use
• Postage stamps
• Shark fins
• Shipments prohibited by law
• Animal products, non-domesticated (e.g., mother of pearl inlay, snakeskin watch bands)
• Biological substances, Category B and exempt human or animal specimens
• Dangerous goods/Hazmat articles
• Firearms and weapons (including inert and replica explosive weapons)
• Furs
• Gold or other precious metals
• Loose precious and semi-precious stones (cut or uncut, polished or unpolished)
• Live animals
• Alcohol
• Tobacco
• Goods requiring protection from heat or cold
• Pornography
• Illegal narcotics/drugs
• Vape products- the term includes, without limitation, e-cigarettes, e-hookah, e-cigars, vape pens, advanced refillable personal vaporizers, electronic pipes and liquids containing nicotine
• Paint
• Batteries
• Fish, seafood, or meat (fresh or frozen)
• Furs
• Aerosols/flammable liquids (including but not limited to: dry ice, nail polish remover, nail polish, lighters and perfume)

Watch for any of the following descriptions that could indicate Dangerous Goods or Hazardous Materials:

• Acidic
• Caustic
• Combustible Communicable
• Compressed Gas
• Corrosive
• Explosive
• Flammable
• Infectious
• Inflammable
• Poison
• Radioactive
• Refrigerated
• Toxic
• Volatile

Any articles, the carriage of which is prohibited by any law, regulation or statute of any federal, state or local government of any country to or through which the shipment may be carried. If you are in any doubt as to the acceptability of your goods, please contact your Freightcom representative prior to shipping.

Items that would require pre-approval or would move at shipper’s risk:

• Perishables
• Antiques
• Personal effects
• Plants
• Liquids
• Glassware, including but not limited to, signs, mirrors, ceramics, porcelains, china, crystal, glass, framed glass, electronic screens and any other commodity with similarly fragile qualities
• Artwork, including any work created or developed by the application of skill, taste or creative talent, for sale, display or collection. This includes, but is not limited to, items such as paintings, drawings, vases, tapestries, limited-edition prints, fine art, statuary, sculpture, collector’s items, customized or personalized musical instruments.
